Charlie

Our in-house developed transport platform for payloads up to a maximum of 120kg

Charlie is our in-house transport platform. It forms the basis for all possible use cases and is constantly supplemented with new hardware and software features. Through our modular approach, the platform can be acquired cost-effectively in its minimal configuration and continuously supplemented and expanded as needed.

Charlie nano

The absolute minimum that an automatic chassis can offer is combined in the Nano version of our Charlie. The standard aluminum construction can be used with just motors, a battery, and a joystick for easier maneuvering of heavy carts, or enriched with a 2D lidar and ultrasonic sensors on each side and rear, for minimal automation. In this mode, it follows the user at a speed of up to 1.2 m/s step by step.

Collision zones around the robot prevent collision with objects detected within the horizontal range of the lidar and ultrasonic sensors.

Integrable Functions

By adding additional software and hardware options, Charlie's intelligence can be enhanced, enabling him to tackle more complex tasks. A major advantage is that Charlie can be updated at any time. We pay special attention to ensuring that he remains compatible for future expansions as well.

Multicontrol

Charlie can be controlled via fixed buttons on the device, a remote control, or joystick.

Please follow

Robolem's Follow-Me mode is included with every Charlie. When activated, Charlie follows the user step by step and even avoids obstacles.

No Collision

Our anti-collision protection creates various virtual zones around Charlie, which can be adjusted as needed. This allows determining when and how fast Charlie should drive.

Map

Charlie can optionally be equipped with the Nav2 Navigation Stack, allowing it to navigate based on a map.

Charging Station

Charlie can optionally be constantly charged using a charging station, allowing it to replenish its energy autonomously.

Remote Access

Charlie can be controlled via teleoperation as needed, utilizing camera and map data.

Available Attachments

Platform Trolley

Manually controllable, in follow mode, or autonomously on the move, it feels like handling a regular platform trolley. Combined with the map function, multiple destinations can be saved and navigated to at the push of a button.

Serving Cart

A self-driving serving cart leisurely circulates around the room, offering guests hors d'oeuvres. Besides the visual appeal, it assists the staff in service.

Trolley Cart

As a RAKO transporter moving around the facility from A to B, it transports multiple 60x40 containers. The popular storage containers can thus be automatically moved without permanently installed infrastructure.

Housekeeping Cart

The heavy cart, which often prefers to stay in the corner, follows the staff to the room, eliminating additional trips. Equipped with a joystick, it can be manually controlled effortlessly in difficult situations.

Mall Cart

The mall cart follows the cleaning staff in the shopping center. The constant, labor-intensive pushing is eliminated, reducing travel distances.

Trio Cart

Charlie carries a Trio nursing cart from Wagner Visuell. In hospitals, the mobile workstation of the nursing staff becomes an intelligent companion.
